The season of the snow-white wonderland – when the snow has fallen, Lake Bled is transformed into a true winter wonderland. Snowfall cannot of course be guaranteed but the end of December, January, February and March are normally the best months to see Bled in its full winter glory.

Skiing and snowboarding holidays or short breaks can be taken at Kranjska Gora with its own ski area or at Bled & Bohinj (Vogel ski area). Whilst many visitors come for winter sports, it also seems that just as many people come to Bled to enjoy the magical scenery and to take the opportunity for a winter break of complete rest and relaxation. A winter visit would not be complete without a visit to our Capital city Ljubljana where you can enjoy the winter atmosphere, the colourful Christmas markets and the warming mulled wine.
